A Purr-fect Experience at Cat Cafe in Dauis, Bohol

There’s something special about a place that captures the curiosity of a child, and for my daughter, that place was the Cat Cafe in Dauis, Bohol. It wasn’t until we found the right time that we finally visited this unique spot, and it turned out to be a delightful experience for the whole family.

A Charming Location

Cat Cafe is conveniently located along the road in Dauis, just a few meters from the causeway. Upon arrival, we were pleased to find a designated parking area that could accommodate around five cars. The front of the cafe is adorned with a charming wall painting of a cat, a perfect spot for taking memorable pictures. Additionally, clear signages make it easy to locate the cafe.

As we approached the entrance, we noticed that the cafe was already full. Due to its popularity, we had to wait outside until a group of visitors finished their turn. Thankfully, the waiting time was enjoyable, as the cafe is situated atop a hill, providing a breathtaking view of the Tagbilaran sea. The fresh sea breeze made our wait of about 15 minutes feel much shorter.

Inside the Cat Cafe

Once a group left, we were finally able to enter. Before stepping inside, we removed our shoes and placed them in the designated shoe rack. There is an entrance fee, with 40% of the amount consumable for food. The same rate applies to children as well.

Inside, we were greeted by an adorable assortment of cats of different breeds, sizes, and colors. While I’m not an expert in cat breeds, I could tell that each one had its own unique charm. If you’re a cat lover, this place is nothing short of paradise.

Playing and Dining with Cats

The cafe has a few simple rules to ensure a comfortable environment for both guests and the cats. We were advised to keep our voices low and to avoid disturbing any sleeping cats. As we settled in, we placed our food orders, choosing milk teas, French fries, and waffles.

The moment our food arrived, the cats were instantly drawn to our table. The caretaker explained that while the cats are curious about the food, they are discouraged from eating human food to maintain their proper diet. It became a fun little challenge to keep our meals safe from the sneaky felines.

After enjoying our meal, we had the opportunity to feed the cats using a provided spoon. Some of the cats were particularly eager and playful, making the experience even more enjoyable. It was heartwarming to see the kids interact with the cats, forming an instant bond with these furry friends.

A Memorable Visit

After nearly an hour of fun and bonding, we decided it was time to leave. The kids were overjoyed with the experience, and we all left with smiles on our faces. The Cat Cafe in Dauis is truly a wonderful spot for animal lovers, providing a cozy, relaxing atmosphere filled with playful and affectionate cats.
