by The contingent of barangay Napo, Loon successfully defended its title as the grand champion of the Sandugo Festival’s Bangga sa Kuradang and Subli sa Sandugo last July 29, 2017. They were able to take home a total of 315 thousand pesos and a trophy after being declared as Best in Kuradang King and Queen, Best in Music, Best in Kuradang Street Dancing and Grand Champion.
The contingent of the municipality of San Isidro was declared as the first runner-up with a cash prize of 200 thousand pesos. They were also to receive a trophy.
The contingent of Pilar also took home 215 thousand pesos and a trophy after being declare as Best in Pair of Datu Sikatuna and Gen. Legaspi, Best in Production Design and Costume, Best in Subli sa Sandugo and second runner-up.
Others contingents include Balilihan, Baclayon, Catigbian, Concepcion, Mabini; San Miguel, Tubigon and Dr. Cecilio Putong Nat’l High School.
